Law Enforcement Guidelines

Duck-Dating.com is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all users and the wider public. We take our legal obligations seriously and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies acting within their lawful authority.

We comply with applicable UK law, including the Computer Misuse Act 1990, the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, the Data Protection Act 2018, and UK GDPR. We will respond to lawful requests from authorised agencies in a timely and professional manner.

If you are responding to an imminent threat to life or a situation involving serious harm, please contact us immediately using the emergency contact below. We will prioritise emergency requests and respond as quickly as possible.

Subject to a valid legal request, Duck-Dating.com may be able to provide the following categories of information where they are held:

• Account registration information (name, email address, date of birth)
• Phone number provided at registration
• IP addresses and login timestamps associated with an account
• Duck tag (DD number) assignment and usage records
• Payment records (transaction IDs, amounts, dates — not full card details)
• Profile content (display name, photos, bio, location)
• Account creation and activity timestamps

We do not store passwords in plain text. Full payment card details are handled exclusively by Stripe and are not accessible to Duck-Dating.com.

All non-emergency requests for user data must be accompanied by appropriate legal authority. We require one of the following before disclosing user information:

• A valid court order issued by a UK court
• A production order under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE)
• A notice under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016
• A written request from a UK law enforcement agency with sufficient legal basis under the Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR Article 6(1)(c) or (e)

Requests from overseas law enforcement agencies must be routed through the appropriate Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) process or equivalent UK legal mechanism.

All formal law enforcement requests should be submitted by email to our legal team. Please include the following in your request:

• Your name, badge/warrant number, and agency
• A contact email address and phone number at your agency
• The legal basis for your request (court order, production order, etc.)
• A copy of the relevant legal instrument (court order, notice, etc.)
• The specific user identifier(s) — email address, DD number, or phone number
• The specific data categories requested
• The date range relevant to your investigation
• A brief description of the investigation (to the extent permitted)

Duck-Dating.com retains user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We retain account data for as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter in accordance with our legal obligations.

If you require data to be preserved pending a formal legal request, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with a preservation request. We will take reasonable steps to preserve relevant data while the legal process is completed.

Duck-Dating.com has a zero-tolerance policy for the use of our platform for illegal activity. Our Acceptable Use Policy explicitly prohibits:

• Human trafficking or exploitation of any kind
• Sexual exploitation or abuse, including of minors
• Grooming, harassment, or stalking
• Fraud, impersonation, or deception
• Any other criminal activity

We report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the National Crime Agency (NCA) as required by law. We cooperate fully with investigations into serious crime.
